Vote Sue Ellis for this years Unsung Hero in the Market Harborough Sports Awards Nominations!!
Unsung Hero
I am nominating Sue Ellis on behalf of Market Harborough Netball League Committee for the unsung hero award.
Not only has Sue participated in netball over the years but she has gone above and beyond in terms of her commitment to the local league as well as the sport in general.
Sue plays and coaches local team Wheel and Compass who are currently sitting at the top spot of division 2. She has proved herself as a coach over the years coaching both youth and adult netball to a high standard. Sue is also a C award umpire and this sees her umpiring around the county at school, adult, county and regional level. Sue is currently training to undertake her B award umpiring accreditation and this will bring a high standard to Market Harborough’s local league for the first time.
Sue is an active member of the League committee and over the years has been treasurer and chair although currently holds the umpiring and coaching position and has responsibility for the growth of local players into coaches and umpires.
Sue has recently coached a series of ‘back to netball’ coaching sessions in Harborough which has seen an increase in the number 1 women’s sport locally, brining women back to the court who haven’t played in years or have never even thrown a ball. This project has been a huge success and this has mainly been due to the hard work and enthusiasm from Sue.
Sue’s dedication to netball is an inspiration to all young and old, and we certainly feel she is a worthy candidate for this unsung hero award!
Vote Sue Ellis!
Nomination from Emma Weir on behalf of MHNL committee.

Reply to Mandy Weston:
Hi Mandy, sorry to hear that you are having some trouble viewing the site. Unfortunately because the website has been written in flash it doesn't allow the Ctrl +/- zoom shortcuts. However it is possible to zoom in by right clicking on empty space and selecting Zoom In - although this is not ideal as it will zoom into the page, but maintain the site boundaries and therefore it will crop the site. I hope this may be of use but if you have any further problems please feel free to send a direct email to mhnl@marketharboroughnetball.co.uk and I will help as best I can.
Kind regards, Chris.
Notice:
Huge Congratulations to Abigail Deacon and Kate Holman for passing their C award umpiring tests on Saturday, 2 more qualified umpires in the league is fantastic! For any others interested in taking an umpiring course please contact a member of the committee.
Umpires Meeting
There is an Umpires Meeting this coming Saturday (25th September) at 13:30 in The Dome. All umpires are required to attend the meeting - if you cannot make it please contact your team captain who in turn should advise Sue Ellis. Further details can be found in the Events calendar.
Notice:
The new website is nearly finished apart from team profiles and images, so could all team captains please ensure that they send through the required information to Clare Bromley-Spurr as soon as possible. Thank you.
